Hoorah for the bleeding heart

Dennis Kucinich threw himself into the growing avalanche of 2008 Presidential candidates because… well, he has as good a chance as anyone right now. But only Kucinich could do it with such “What the fuck, why not?” pomp.
In the midst of a brief chat in his office last week, Representative Dennis J. Kucinich mentioned that, oh, by the way, he planned to run for president again in 2008.
“Yes, I am,” Mr. Kucinich, Democrat of Ohio, said in response to a reporter’s question about a possible encore to his bid in 2004.
Mr. Kucinich’s wife, Elizabeth Harper, who was seated next to him, arched her eyebrows in apparent surprise.
Asked if he had told anyone this yet, Mr. Kucinich said no.
“You just happened to ask,” he said.
We’re so far from the 2008 election, anyone and everyone is worth mentioning, especially the when we all know the Kucinich’s ability to fire up a crowd. Look out!
It hasn’t taken that long for some people to form opinions. But Kucinich? Let’s not take him too seriously… he looks like Spock.
